Mrs. Noah

Noah's wife wipes away a strand of hair, as she tends to a menagerie of animals from around the globe. This is not quite what she had in mind for her retirement.

Media: Head, arms and legs of Super Sculpey, on a wire armature, with a cloth body. She has white mohair pulled back in a bun. She wears brown leather sandals. Her dress is cream striped silk with silk ribbon trim on the edges. Her tunic is blue striped silk with blue silk fringe and wine red trim. Her sash is multi-coloured striped silk.

Props: She has a yoke over her shoulders from which dangle a basket and wooden pail. All around her feet are containers of "animal food". All the birds and animals are individually sculpted from Super Sculpey and painted with acrylics. Butterflies are coloured paper.

Height: 42 cm (16 1/2")
