John Hawkins

Elizabethan gentleman and privateer, John Hawkins was a famous late 16t century "officially sanctioned" pirate who made his fortune preying on the ships of England's enemies.

Media: Head, hands and legs of Super Sculpey, on a wire armature, with a cloth body. He has dark brown mohair beard and hair, and wears a black hat with gold and red trim and white plumes. He wears white stockings and cream leather shoes. His puffed pants and sleeves are of a red silky brocade. His jerkin and smaller puffed sleeves are of another red brocade. All are trimmed with gold and red trim and beads. His collar and cuffs are white cotton edged with white lace. His cloak is red silk with gold trim edging. and tied with a gold cord.

Props: He has a handmade sword hanging from his brown leather belt. He holds cream leather gloves in his right hand.
