Martha has been dabbling in many of the visual arts much of her life. She paints and makes the occasional wall hanging mainly for herself, or as a gift for one of her family members. Most of her paintings are in the form of very colourful, representational landscapes, or large close-ups of flowers. Her wall hangings are "paintings in cloth", inspired by famous works by the Group of Seven, or taken from a photograph. Martha has also recently discovered a new exciting pastime - painting gourds with traditional native style designs. Click on one of the icons below, to see some of her work.
